Getting to know each other

You’ve found our website! Now, it’s time to schedule the initial consultation. The initial consultation serves as a space for us to discuss your special day, your wedding vision, your love story, your needs, and your budget. It also serves as a space for you to ask questions while getting to know who we are and what we do.

The Logistics

We’ve had our initial consultation, and you decided our team is a good fit for your big day! Handling the logistics is the next step in the process. To secure your date, we will need a signed contract and a 25% non-refundable deposit. All of this is done via our online client portal .

The work begins

Each package includes a set number of consultations for the services provided. Packages start 1-12 months before the wedding date. Following the start of your services, you will receive a link to schedule your consultations, so that we can collaborate on your wedding vision to life.

Wedding day

For coordination clients, our team will be on-site bright and early to assist. We come with a fully stocked emergency kit and your collaboratively developed coordination binder to keep the day running smoothly. Each coordination package has a set number of on-site hours and team members. For officiating clients, your officiant will be there one hour prior to the start of the ceremony time and stay until the marriage license is signed, no more than one hour after the ceremony.

General policies

  • T R A V E L

    Each package comes with an included 50-mile radius of Pacific, MO.

    Mileage that exceeds the included mile limit of your package will be charged an additional $0.50 per mile.

    Destination weddings can be booked for any coordination or officiating package at no additional charge. However, accommodations, meals, and travel equivalent to the quality of the client are to be paid for by the client.

  • P O S T P O N E M E N T

    Weddings that must be postponed for any reason are subject to team availability. If the team is unavailable for the rescheduled date, it will follow the cancellation policy. The client will still be responsible for the full balance of the contract.

    If the team is available, a $100 rescheduling fee will apply to cover the cost of expenses incurred prior to the wedding date. This fee may be waived at the discretion of Charley Rice Weddings.

  • C A N C E L L A T I O N

    The 25% deposit paid at the time of booking is non-refundable. All refunds will be issued in accordance with the following policy.

    Notice of cancellation reviewed within 7 days of booking will receive a 75% refund of service cost, regardless of the booked wedding date.

    Otherwise, a notice of cancellation received more than 90 days before the wedding will receive a 50% refund of the contracted service cost.

    Notice of cancellation received 31-90 days before the wedding will receive a 25% refund of the contracted service cost.

    Notice of cancellation 30 days or less prior to the wedding does not qualify for a refund.

  • Yes, Charley Rice Weddings is an LGBT-owned business. We accept love in all of its forms regardless of gender identity, ethnicity, race, sex, ability, or age (18+).

  • Yes, we offer a 2, 4, 6, and 12 payment plan. All balances are due 30 days prior to the wedding.

  • Charley was ordained by the American Marriage Ministries.

  • Officiating clients can expect to spend a total of 6 hours with our team between consults, rehearsal, and the day of. Coordinating clients can expect to spend around 25 hours with our team. These numbers vary based on the complexity of the wedding, event add-ons, and rentals.

  • Yes, we offer a 10% full-pay discount for coordination, combo, and event packages. We also offer a 5% discount when you book a preferred vendor.

  • No, clients are free to book any vendor that they would like. We do not work with non-inclusive vendors.

  • A client can transfer the remaining balance and booked date of their contract to another person if it is more than 30 days before the date, they have prior specific written consent from Charley Rice Weddings, and approval of the contract transfer parties.
